Industrial Manufacturing Process

It is the area responsible for organizing the reception and weight of the cane raw material, sampling is done to determine foreign matters, allowing the fronts of non-compliant cuts to be identified and taking the necessary measures to reduce them, prioritizing the movement in the yard that allows grinding first the most backward canes and trying to comply with the central milling time, it is also the area responsible for preparing the cane that feeds the tandem. It is made up of tractor equipment such as railway car winches, the cane weight, the tillers and ferries, the despalillo collator and the preparation equipment (levelers, blades and shredders).

They have the function of extracting as much juice as possible and according to the technology used, their main objective is the achievement of a high% extraction (optimum between 94 and 96%) and the delivery to the purification area of the mixed quality juice suitable for processing.
The bagasse resulting from the milling of the cane is transported by conductors of rubber bands or bands, to be used basically for the generation of steam, with the lowest possible humidity (generally below 50%)

It has the mission to purify the mixed juice from the mills or tandem, delivering a clarified and bright juice to the later stage of the process (evaporation).
The cachaça resulting from said purification, leaves the process in solid form and exhausted to the maximum of sucrose, through a vacuum filtration process, this current is sent to the field for the production of compost and / or deposition in the field as a fertilizer natural

Its objective is to separate the crystallized sugar from the accompanying honey or mother honey, they are equipment that take advantage of the force of gravity caused by its rotation at high revolutions. The fundamental equipment of the area are crystallizers and centrifuges, but they have several auxiliaries such as honey and magma pumps, compressors, blenders that feed the centrifuges, augers, bucket elevators, conductor systems, sugar weighing, quarters of packaging.
There are centrifuges of continuous work and batch, depending on their function. When the sugar is stored in bags, there is in this area the weight and packaging system in Roman baggers, when it is in bulk it is stored in piles or directly to the hoppers that lead it to the final customer. The resulting honey is deposited in tanks of generally 5000 t capacity

It has the function of converting sucrose from a liquid state from the evaporation area, into sugar crystals and honey or mother liquor, which is depleted by stages combined with centrifugation. The teams that make up the area are the tachos, which work under vacuum, to take advantage of the steam coming from the evaporators and to avoid the formation of color in the materials that are handled at very high density. Other components of the area are the tanks for depositing meladura and honeys that are fed to the tanks, the water injection pumps to the condensers and the auxiliary vacuum pumps and tanks.

Stage of the process that turns the clarified juice into meladura, a syrup with a concentration between 60 and 65 Brix. In this stage the water contained in the juice coming from the milling evaporates. It extracts between 70 and 75% of the total flow of juice as water, in teams that work with multiple effects and vacuum in their last bodies. This stage defines the steam consumption of the process, which is why it is fundamental in the energy balance of the plant. Delivery to the subsequent stage of the process and as a result of water condensation, hot water is supplied to contaminate boilers and contaminated for technological uses in the different stages of the process (imbibition in tandem, washing of sugar and cake of cachaça, water for the crystallization process)

The steam is not used directly as it is generated in the process, it is first passed through turbines that move the turbos generators
